Chapter One Booster Box Opening

Was it worth it?

We finally got our hands on some Lorcana products! We managed to get all three starter decks, a Treasure Trove, and a booster box. Was the price we paid for the box worth it? Depending on your LGS, the answer is. We have seen some LGSs sell a booster box at an MSRP of $149.99 and others as high as $299.99.

Pulls

Did we get an enchanted card? Drum roll… And we did not get an enchanted card, but we got six legendary cards. We pulled two Maleficent - Monstrous Dragon, one being a cold foil.

The third legendary card we pulled was Rapunzel - Gifted with Healing—three good Legendary Cards so far.

The fourth legendary card we pulled was Te Ka - Heartless.

The fifth spot goes to Beast - Wolfsbane.

Last but not least, to finalize our sixth legendary, we pulled Hades - Infernal Schemer.

Was it worth it?

If we add up the market value (using TCG Player market value) of the six legendary cards, we come out to a total of $190.56. The real question was how much we paid for our booster box. The LGS we purchased product from sold a booster box of Lorcana - The First Chapter for $199.99. Our box was close to the retail price we paid. Adding in some of the super rares, this box was an excellent value. The box’s value would have been better if we paid an MSRP of $149.99. If you paid over $200, the chance of getting the box’s total value is low.
